I'm working on this whacky idea for a new 'puter and am wanting to use something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7970167289&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

They're Honda Civic short shifters. The trouble is, the clowns selling them (there are a lot of them on eBay... that's why they're cheap) won't answer my question. They keep sending me standard "look up your own answer, punk" replies, with links to "most common questions".

Anyway... I just want to know about how long these buggars are... within an inch or a couple centimeters.

Does anyone have an idea how long they are?

I really don't know but I would guess it to be about 7" long, that's if the bolt through the end is 10mm.(I just scaled it up, roughly)
How about asking in a honda owners club ??

The scale looks about right for the above post. I'd guess at a foot too, but I know that these things can extend up to 3 feet.

^^^ Thanks guys... much help.

Hint: I want the ball on the shaft to hit a power button and have the shaft pivot on the bottom bearing... me thinks it might work...

And mnpctech... I drove a Golf once (few times, actually) that was tricked out with Neuspeed stuff and it was surprising... the thing handled like a _____ [fill in awesome car here].

I heard back from another seller... he said: 9.5" * 3.75"... I just love clear answers...

 I had a similar setup on my GTi but with neuspeed hard springs. That was a bone shattering suspension setup, but boy did it handle like a champ.
