Without going into a whole hell of a lotta detail, I'll say that I got a FREE DFI LanParty mobo this weekend as a result of attending Ubercon in new jersey. I placed 6th out of 60 in the UT2K3 tournament, and the nvidia rep (who was sponsoring the tourney boxes) and I had a nice chat in which I explained to him I was still playing on a Tbird 850 at home (Goliath is ready, but i can't play on it.. if i did, i'd never finish it!). Anyway, he gave me the board.

I have a home for it... sorta. My Aged Antec SX1030, PSU has been swapped out for something cheaper (had to give the good one to mum to get her 'puter to stabilize). Its that antec charcoal color.

So I'm going to the bezel in the attached image..

Fill all the holes in the damn thing and turn it into something like this:

Now the DFI is all UV glowy everywhere. This box is going to remain aircooled, as I view watercooling to be a bit of a worry when going to LANs. I don't even go to LANs now, because my boxen A.) Suck (the tbird) and B.) Weigh 125 pounds full (Goliath). So the aim of this is to keep the weight under 60 pounds or so and make a nice glowey look@me LAN box w\ great cooling.

Now.. About that Isopon... is that my best bet for filling in the holes? or should I just use bondo?

I think you're missing the idea nexxo... check the attached pic. That bezel will have its holes filled and then have new holes drilled to look like the dell 400SC!

I'd guess that you could make something similar to P40 by chopping up fibreglass mat and mixing it in with some resin and hardener but after a quick dig thru' Google's archive of HotRodders.com (http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cache:O-UjVDt3CmkJ:www.hotrodders.com/t889.html+bondo+fiberglass+bridging&hl=en&ie=UTF-8), I found reference to Evercoat (http://www.evercoat.com/) brand fillers.

For bodywork use Evercoat brand fillers. Evercoat has a wide range of fillers to hoose from. From lightweight plastic fillers, fiberglass filler, fiberglass strand(tiger hair) filler to an aluminum based filler called Metal 2 Metal. Go with the evercoat and depending on why your using it and where will make the choice of type of filler for you. Lightweight plastic filler is best for smoothing and last smooth coat and is easy sanding. Both fiberglass is best for building and strength, but very tiring to work with. Metal 2 Metal is about a happy medium, its strong lightweight, still harder to sand than plastic filler, also a bit tougher to mix, but a good strong smooth filler. I recomend them all

I don't know the difference between the ordinary fibreglass bridging filler and the Tiger Hair variety but they may be easy for you to check out. :)

The stuff I used on Hex (after the P40 bridging filler), which I'll heartily recommend for UK modders was Isopon Metalik (http://www.u-pol.com/Products/bodyfiller1.htm#Isopon%20Metalik).
Sounds like Evercoat Metal 2 Metal could well be your US equivalent B) (although subsequent digging finds it's tougher to sand than Metalik - but it can't be as bad as JBWeld, eh? ;)).

[Edit] PS. Congrats on the win - free schtuff is always cool. B)
