Ok I need some electronic help. I am a complete and utter noob at electronic wiring.

I have two 5mm blue leds in my case that I want to run via the Hard Drive status jumpers on the motherboard. (you know, the ones that run the normal LED for HD activity).

My question is, how? I can't just wire them into a connection and just plug it on the jumper right? Or no?

Thanks for any help.

yes...

i recently replaced my power led (exactly the same thing...) basicly you clip the led off put the heat shrink tubing down on the wires a lil ways (be careful not to put both in one that will short it) and sodder the led on to the wires (you dont even have to wory about witch way you sodder them because you can always revers the jumper and it will work...) just watch out for shorts... thats the best advice i can give you...

Direct connection is AOK. Mobos have built-in current limiting resistors. the blues won't be as bright, but they will light.
