The LED fell out of the bottom of my AT (it does it quite often, it doesn't seem to stay in) so I went to put it back.
Looked at it from the top and it wasn't very bright. Looked into it and where the LED is it seems to have gone a kind of pink/red colour. It's not on the LED so it must be the plastic holder.
It definately looks like it's melted or something
And on another note I burnt my self on my NB heatsink so I may have to reconsider the airflow through my case. :(

Uhh, what voltage were you running it at? did you have a resistor on it?

If its the lighting module supplied by AquaComputer it has a resistor prewired into it and comes complete with molex plug attached.

yeah if your north bridge heatsink is that hot i would hate to touch your cpu heatsink
being as im not one for paying attention to voltages i have burnt a few leds and they do get hot. so if you made the light or you bought it form somewhere other than aqua computer then it is a possibility that its getting realy hot. also if it hasent burnt out all the way but was damaged from high voltages it will appeer dimer.

Well Pug made it for me but I think it was originally a normal Aqua Computer one with the LED swapped to white.
The thing is the LED is perfectly fine and is still as bright as it always was. It doesn't get hot either although the resistor below it is a bit warm.
It's really wierd though. The discolouration is only where the top of the LED is and I'm sure its not been there very long. I will have a proper look at it tomorrow and will try and get a picture. It's very strange.

what you really need is a heatsink for your leds^_^lol! sounds like your loop is running pretty hot there, but i would have thought it would have to be quite hot to melt plastic!

Well I've sorted it out. Took the lid of, stuck in a cotton bud and it wiped off.
No idea what it was, it's a kind of deep red colour. I think it's either some kind of corrosion or something to do with my anti-corrsosion fluid.

You know, when I read the thread topic I had visions of the actual aluminium aqua-tube having melted. ^_^ How hot did you run your system? :D
