... for conventional fans?
I spotted this link on procooling .... Synthetic Jets and liquid atomising (http://gtresearchnews.gatech.edu/newsrelease/synjets.htm)
It didnt generate any i nterest there yet but it looks interesting. Here is a couple of quotes to wet your apetitie.
synthetic jet ejector arrays (SynJets) are more efficient than fans, producing two to three times as much cooling with two-thirds less energy input. and i like this one ...
“We have so far been able to cool about 420 watts per square centimeter, and ultimately expect to increase that to 1,000 watts per square centimeter.” Atomised liquid cooled Radiator anyone?

Sounds very cool!
Prices comparable to fans and easier to make. :D
Fans are such an old technology I'm surprised things like this haven't appeared before now.

Ah... the exploitation of vibration... just ask any woman with a drawer in her nightstand...
On David Letterman the other night, they had a young girl demonstrting her science fair project... she put a bottle of soda on a tooth and jewelry cleaning device that vibrated thousands of times a second... it blew the soda at least ten feet into the air. She ran, David got sprayed. ^_^

ROFL!
My GF used to be an Ann Summers rep and one night when she was offshore i was in bed just drifting off to sleep when this god awful noise suddenly errupted from beside the bed. I jumped up rather alarmed and started groping around for the light switch and in my confused state managed to knock everything off the bedside cabinet before eventually getting the light on. I realised the noise was coming from under the bed so i pulled out the wooden box she kept her ann summers stuff in and opened it up. One of the vibrators, a big blue veiny rubber cock to be precise, had switched itself on and was bouncing around the bottom of the wooden box, which was acting like a drum. It then proceeded to attack a rampit rabbit before heading off under what could only be described as a wenches outfit. Excitement over for the night i turned the wretched thing off and shoved the box under the bed where i then spotted something pink and rubbery which looked alarmingly like an inflate-a-mate. On closer inspection it turned out to be a 3ft high inflatable penis with a face!
She doesn't do Ann Summers anymore and i've bought one of those low Japanese style beds as i'm never want to look under one again.

Still, you gotta love cooling that is called: "synthetic jet ejector arrays". I mean, that just sounds way cool! ^_^
On second thoughts, it also sounds somewhat rude...

'Monster Wang Slayin' Impolite Cercopithecoid'.

Cercopithecoid.
WTF? Your trying to be too clever for your own good now. Keep it simple, if it has a tale its a monkey if it doesnt its an ape.

Use fillips just to get people talking. :) What does it mean anyway fillip? :confused:Basically what you said regarding the differences between monkeys and apes, except that cercopithecoids (ser-co-pith-ecoids) are the specific sub-group of primates that baboons belong to. It's a type of what they call 'old world primate', and as you said yourself, I thought it would be funny to have it in your title since everyone who reads it will be thinking WTF!, unless they happen upon this thread ofcourse :D
