Constructive criticism:
- feather the edge of the filler when you fill something in, it'll prevent what you had happen.
- the black looks good and shiny, yes...

Nicely done.

I'm doing some similar mods on the front plate, (and I'm in the midle of it right now!) so I can appreciate the work here.

You might want to keep your distance with the can of paint here; it'll give you a smoother finish. Also, consider using a primer next time, because you have a mixed surface (plastic and filler). One thing you learn fast, as Starbuck3733T hinted, is that paint hides nothing; prep your surface thoroughly before.
