I need some help with cutting acrylic for a window. I have tried numerous times and I just cannot do it!

I am adding a window to my case to be installed on the exterior. Because its on the exterior the edges need to be perfect. No matter what I do I cannot get a good cut and even after filing/sanding edges I never seem to get there.

I am wondering if anyone has any tips? Or if not, does anyone know a company that I can pay to just cut a piece of acrylic to my specifications for me? I need rounded edges and thats it. Should be easy for a company with the machines to do it.

Thanks for anything.

a scroll saw would probably work quite well, but you probably could get a sign shop to cut it because i believe a lot of them use acrylic

I think I used a router on mine (or mebbe it was my Rotozip Rebel). Hardly had to clean up at all afterwards, iirc.

Yea, my rotozip is great for plexi. Easy to clean up afterwards too with a file and sandpaper.

If you can, use Lexan instead of Plexi. Jigsaw w/ 18-20 teeth blade will cut it w/o any melting
