well its gotten past me months of watching slashdot and not a singel word then i visit slashdot today and a banner from newegg talks about 64bit p4's

anyways the prices are high but check it out

anyways the new chips are nearly identical to past prescotts except they have 3mb L2 cache and 64bit support (alot like amd athlon 64's) i have read a few things saying a french site reviewed them (even before they came out) and said they had no proformace increace. well im not buying one but im shure some one is just thinking of a way to change the micro code in your bios to enable the EM64T extention. anyways good news for (rich) intel users.

anyways good night

Well they made slashdot with another review

http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.cfm?articleid=641&cid=1 (http://www.hothardware.com/viewarticle.cfm?articleid=641&cid=1)

the review seems some what positive but the chip isn't showing any better performance over its past model usually hanging very close. As for the 64bit comparison well it wasn't anything to be rushing to the stores to get the AMD still out preformed it even the new p4 EE (even with its $999 price tag)
