Dear All,
I have a big problem:(, and desperately need some help.
Okay, I installed the system last night. The installation went smoothly. I have a DD fillport connected to the aquatube(aquabay mounted), then to the rad, the pump and the the cpu block and finally back to the aquatube. A very simple setup.
Now here's were the problem starts. I am having big trouble filling enough water to start the pump going. I'm guessing as everything is air tight, when there's enough water, the air pressure inside balances out and I can no longer add water.
I guess the real question is, how are ppl filling their systems?

You really need to prime the pump (ie. fill it with water) prior to powering up.
I use a aqua inlet http://www.aquacomputer.de/prodimg/nd_products/ai_plexi_200.jpg to fill mine.
Another way. (remove the fill port from the loop.)
Make sure your aquatube is the highest point in you loop. Fill it with water. Disconnect the pipe from the outlet of the pump untill water starts to flow through it. Now the pump is primed. Refill the aquatube and power on the pump making sure to keep topping up the aquatube. (if the pump doesnt pull water you need to reprime it) Once it stops taking water your loop is full. fill the aquatube to the required level and there you go.
For this reason I allways like to keep the res just before the pump. I also normally put the rad after the pump.

It is good practice to go straight from the res to the pump that way the pump has a steady supply of water straight away and it acts as a buffer for greedy pumps.
With my setup i have the aquatube at the top of the case and the pump at the bottom with a straight(ish) pipe between them. As i fill the aquatube the water runs straight through to the pump priming it in the process.

thanks guys,
i will route the tubes as da_rude_baboom suggests. i guess its the same principle as the knipex's use of the aqua inlet.
However, i still a bit concerned that as soon as i start to fill the system it will increase the pressure in the loop and their stop future water being fill. Or is that simple not the case?

As your filling the loop the water should push the air around the tubes and out. You might have to put some water in, close everything up and tilt your case backwards and forwards a bit to get the air to the aqua-tube open it up to let the air out then start filling again.

In addition to the above advice, I tend to disconnect the return pipe to the aquatube and suck through enough fluid through to prime the pump. :)
