anodizing aluminum?

ok well my dad and i where talking about this today and though it would be realy cool to anodize my cube case. only issue is we need to know how and how much it will cost. after searching google i found a starters kit for $49 but i still want to know more and HOW. anyways the kit comes with 7 dies wich is more than i will need so i dont think it will cost that much if i do it anyways i remember seeing a guide on some modding site someware but cant find it now any help would be apreciated.
