The main reason this one stands out is that it reminds me a bit of Pro Cooling, plus the reviewer tested the block with both 6mm ID and 12mm ID tubing sizes. He found that there is a 0.7°C difference between them (in favor of 12mm). 0.7 isn't bad at all, it's certainly not enough to make me want to switch.

You can't get a 1/2" tubing's worth of CSA (cross sectional area) out of a G1/4 barb. That's where the restriction is, and that's why you're not seeing a bigger performance increase. He's just relieving a bit of pressure drop in the tubing.

Mmm, I recognise that reviewer's name from somewhere...

For all those users who want to get the highest cooling performance from this waterblock, it is necessary for them to align the middle plate with the base plate so that all the accelerated nozzle stand right on each “cross” section. Given that, the drill size of the middle place is a bit larger than the one on base plate for the final adjustment.
I hope they tested before breaking it apart...
If you want the highest performance, you should leave it the way it came from the factory, surely? That's how I understood it (and was the strict instruction given to review sites when I've submitted stuff)

I also wonder if ProC have 'reviewed' the review yet...

Meeps. So the "reviewer" is (in)famous for something, what's that 'something'?

Nah, I don't think it's that... I've a feeling he was either a customer, a casual enquirer or maybe I've just seen him on another forum (I don't always go under the name Pug out there... :h34r: ;))

^^^ Those are some impressive temps, though if you're using a probe to measure them maybe slightly inaccurate.

And what's your ambient temp? Those are seriously low.
