I've been using a small plugon Tank-O-Matic as a fill tank for my water cooling loop/setup. The Tank-O is attached to my Innovatek HPPS and before that, an Aquatube 2.0. Last night I noticed something wierd, which can only be described as this thread from Bit: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=79907 (if it doesn't work, go to Bit-Tech's forums, then to Tech Stuff > Extreme Cooling > Something on my copper... ) On that guy's block, all the air and water and whatever leaked beyond his O ring and into the middle of the block. On my Tank O Matic (or any Tank-O), on the bottom where the water sits, there's a series of O rings (or what looks like them). On the 2nd to last one, the same buildup as seen in that guys NV40 block is occuring. It looks like the other seals have been holding and were just breached, and for some reason I can't help but think that the last one could give out soon, unless it's the only real O ring and the others are merely indentations. If so, why is the aired-up-ness only happening inbetween the last 2? Here's what the tank looks like: http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2/graphics/tank%20black.gif (I think every Tank-O-Matic has these rings).
Does anyone with a Tank-O-Matic have any insight to share?
From looking, it seems that Aqua Computer's Aqua Inlet is all one piece, that would probably make me feel safer. Is the Plexi one all 1 piece too?

Yes they are. They look to be one solid machnines piece and they work very very well.

I might just buy the aluminum one, it's milled from a solid piece, according to the info blurb. I think the plexi one is nicer, and I can add an LED :)

I've had the AC Alu version, the mk1 plexi & the mk2 plexi (which I still have in Alien-Li, still going strong).
Out of 'em all, I prefer the one I kept but had no probs with any of 'em.
Not tried the one you have, so can't comment on it, sorry bud.

From my Google tour of various forums and end user experiences of Tank O Matic users, the problem I have was bound to happen. It seems as it happens a bit, water gets trapped lower than where it's supposed to go and then the O ring wears thin. The water keeps going down until it's pushing on the last ring. The other problem that seems to happen a lot more is the plexi/plastic cracks. I've got one happening already, so I really don't need the other, so I've already ordered the Aqua Computer AquaInlet in the clear break-proof pexi version (so I can add a UV LED). I can't wait for it, this way I can plug in the Noise Isolator dual pass rad I just got to go for a triple active radiator cooled system :D

lol Fibbles you should put all your watercooling gear on a table and take a pic of it as it sounds like you have more than pugs shop! :p

It happens. I've got a shoebox sized thing crammed full with pushfits, pipefittings and related bits. And that's aside fromt he spare pumps and rads in the drawer.

Whoops. make that 36" x 24" x 12".
If I had that much in feet, I'd have more than AC does in there store on any given day (maybe)

That's what concerned me, that you may be stashing a whole load of German w/c goodness in your garageand not letting on about it! http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/happy.gif

Well I did exclude the ~30M of assorted tubing. You still beat me I'm sure.

I've got a tupperware tub that's a little smaller than Star's tub, and it's filled with lots of fittings: 6/8 and 8/10 pushfits, compressions and a few 3/8" barbs for the AC stuff. It also houses all the blocks I don't use and a couple spare pumps and rads. After I got hooked on little ID stuff, I started "collecting" it. I never did this with my 1/2" gear  The actual block/item that started this hoarding behavior (Nexxo.. what's wrong with me?) was the Cuplex EVO and a pair of 6/8mm push fits. I have about 6 CPU blocks, 4 GPU blocks, and 2 C/S blocks, lots of hose (assorted colors and sizes) and 4 rads. I've also got a black Fass O Matic and a full size Tank O Matic, lots of assorted LED's and an Aquabay, Aquadrive, 1 Alphacool HDD3, 1 Aquadrive LT and a Konvect O Matic Maxi. That's about it. I'm using a lot too, in cooling excess computers, but that's not why I bought it, I did get a lot of this stuff used, but I can't expalin why I bought a lot of it, especially the bits I don't really need and will probably never use. The hardest part is actually deciding what to use on a given project, there's too much to choose from!!!
P.S. I recently acquired a Cape X2 Pro Plexi!
There's a slight issue, My Tank O Matic Plugon is cracking and the Plexi version was out of stock. An Alu one is on the way, and I threw in a P4/AMDXP/64 Cuplex Pro mounting screen (much better looking than the original P4 one). All I'll need now is the silver Cuplex Pro base for a mere 70 E. ^_^
I think I'll take DRB's suggestion and put everything on a table and take some pics.

I just sent a PM to some one on another forum offering to buy his Aquagra6800 Rev2 for $75. Oh man!!! But now, if I do indeed get the block, will I keep my Alphacool 6800 GPX?

OMG! Most people have loads of tubing or fittings while Fibbles just has everything. Keep collecting and one day you can open a watercooling museum.

http://www.wizarddesigns.co.uk/imgs/aquainject-alu%2B.jpg <-- That's my new fill tank. I really wanted the plexi version, but that one is super nice. Itis a solid block of anodized aluminium, sort of like an Aquatube with no plexi top. Unlike the Innovatek one, it has an O ring on both holes and it's pretty darn heavy. It's pretty hawt too :)
On a side note, I bought the Cuplex pro to replace my EVO in my primary computer (the EVO was going to go into a P3 system) sometime mid last year. I really liked the plexi tops, well, except the P4 top that was on my block. I've just recieved the multi AM64/XP and P4 top and now I really love my Cuplex Pro all over again, and I haven't even used it for more than a day ^_^ I actually had a love/hate thing with the Pro, simply because I hated the reg P4 top, that's wierd, isn't it? So, does anybody want a Cuplex Pro P4 top?
