hey guys

my motorbikes exahust is becoming more and more rusty and i painted it with a coat of heat paint but it seems to have gone through that so i need it chromed, im looking for a chroming service where i could send my exhaust away and have a quality job done to it, then sent back, hoping to spend no more than £30 idealy...

Thanks

http://www.beedspeed.com/chrome.html

These guys do a lot of chroming and powder coating of moped parts so pretty similar. Dunno what they charge precisely; but they do list lots of components on the site, or what their turn around time is though.

You could look at nickel plating, next best thing from chrome and a hell of alot cheaper ;)

That beedspeed place I mentioned do powdercoating too which as they state on their website is roughly half the price of chroming.
Maybe thats something to think about.
£55 doesn't sound that expensive to me for what you want done... http://wizdforums.co.uk/images/smilies/unsure.gif

Back in the day (10 years ago now) I used some of that matt black heat proof paint. It worked well and looked OK, i dont know why you had problems.

Thanks

well, i never was a big fan of chrome on Bikes tbh. My bike is an old LC350YPVS and it looked brilliant IMO, way better than those allstar (i think it was allstar lol ... theres that age thing again!) pipes you used to get for them that were shiney from end to end.

yea, not my cup 'o' tea. sorry. But i can see why you want a strong finish. I think it be tempted to still use the heat paint every few months.
