New comer here, needs your expert help.
I've ordered a complete aquacomputer h2o setup^_^. I have the aquabay which I am planning to mount the aquastream and the aquatube. So far so good. To fill water with the setup, I read somewhere, I would have to rotate my computer 90 degree, so that the front of the computer, hence the bays are facing up:blink:. This is not quite the ideal soluion i was looking for.
Does anyone knows whether I can user the DD's Fill Port with the Aquacomputers P&P tubing system? The idea is to mount the fill port at the top and having it running into the aquatube.
Thanks.

The fillport has a barb on the end so it would not be compatible with AC plug and cool with out using an adaptor. Can i ask why you can't tip the PC on to its back when you fill it?

Thanks Baboon,
Here's my thinking. I will have the aquabay with the aquatube taking up the front bays. The radiator, will also be mounted at the front at the bottom of the case, pulling air in. With a fill point at the very top of the case, gravity will pull water through the system, making a filling process a lot easier.
Even with all the connectors removed from the back, I will still have the PSU. This mean I wont be able to get the case level when I'm doing the fill. I can foresee could be nightmare do.
PS.
Anyone knows of adaptor to do this?

If you way to use a fillport, what you need is to adapt their 1/2" barb to your p&c setup. So beg or steal 2 inches of 1/2"ID tube and then you need a few fittings to get a double headed adaptor 1/2" barb to 8mm Pushfit.
At http://www.airlines-pneumatics.co.uk you'd want:
101078 LF3000 STUD 1/4" BSP 8mm £ 3.19
103497 HOSE TAIL 1/2" BSPP 1/4" £ 2.55
you should also pick up a sealing washer or tape, or you could go with nylon fittings for the barb.... pleny of options.

The Aquatube has 6 ports guys... why not just add a BSPP barb to one of them? :p

Suppose, though this avoids a line of ugly 1/2" tube So use 3/8" and warm it in hot water to go over the fillport barb? :)
'Sonly a 6" length or thereabouts needed and I personally think I'd find it neater than the alternative... -_-

Once again thanks you guys,
You have come up with some truely orginal ideas. I like your idea pug warming the tube so it fits the oversized fillport.
Can anyone tell me how stretchable are the aquacomputer's tubing?

Yr welcome m8, that's what we're here for.
Well, the Plug&cool stuff isn't really that suited, it's kinda semi-rigid and so won't expand that well.
I'm sure you could beg an offcut of something suitable off someone for a few quid though, seeing as you don't need much. :)
[Edit] Woohoo! 1000posts! :D

Woot! 500 members!
If you can get a short length of vinyl or poly-ethelene tubing, those stretch quite a bit when you heat them... as does tygon and clearflex.

Okay, how about something like this
http://www.watercoolingshop.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=49_57&osCsid=2108e9d22fca370e162438935b870caf
Near the bottom of the page there is 12mm to 8mm reducer widget. I think the Fillport is a 12mm(0.5 inch) burb.
I think the 8mm end is going to be tight fit as AC's tubing are 8mm outside and only 6mm inside. Could I use the warm water trick now?

Can this burb fit the Fill Port?

Better of with a 10mm barb on the res & the 12mm DDen part, I'd have thought.
I wouldn't use the AC tubing for that but if you have some spare & want to try it, it's up to you.

Can this burb fit the Fill Port? You can buy the fillport with 3/8" ID connections already attached. I've got two of them.

Pick your color and tubing size.

I was gonna add what Rally suggested, and then just use a 1/8" to 3/8" ID barb sold by Aqua Computer with the 3/8" version of the fillport. I've got 2 Innovatek blocks plugged into a heatercore by way of 1/4" bsp to 10mm ID barbs on the Inno parts and a 3/8" ID barbs on the core. It's not what I'd call easy or neat looking, but it works.

Thanks,
I just recieved DD's fill port. The fillport looks great, but I wasnt impress with the plastic screw cap. The threats on the cap were chipped!!! I hope there's enough to secure the fillport.
