Ive been looking at Intels site to see what the recomended running temp of a CPU is but I cant find it. I was hopeing one of you might be able to help.
I have a P4 2.6 HT CPU with a Zalman fan on it, its running at 100f. Is this ok?

absolutely fine.
As a quick rule of thumb. If it runs stable under load dont worry about it.

google the following: 100F in C (http://www.google.com/search?q=100F+in+C) .
The temp limit on the die (IIRC) is 70C. Also, the P4 contains circuitry that will throttle the duty cycle (percentage of edges of the FSB clock that the proc executes instructions vs not) downwards to cool itself off if it passes a certain temperature, which is 70C. The circuitry is 100% internal so there is no matter of the motherboard supporting it or not. There is a pin on the processor with the name of "THERM_HOT" that indicates that the processor has entered the mode of reducing its duty cycle down from 100% (always executing instructions) to something else. A NOP is executed on clocks where the processor is not doing any real work. NOP = NO Operation.
